Edward "Ted" Daniel Schuler, 50, of Bear Creek Twp., died Oct. 30 after an illness. His wife is Susan Babicz Schuler.

Born in Darby on Oct. 19, 1962, son of John and Elva Davis Schuler, Ted was a graduate of Interboro High School, where he excelled in football and wrestling. Ted was also a graduate of Bloomsburg University, where he majored in advertising. While at college, Ted was a member of the Sigma Iota Omega fraternity. He remained active in the alumni association and loved to attend football games with his two sons.
Ted had been employed by Federal Express. In addition to enjoying his job, he was a dedicated father who loved spending time with his children. His main interest was the outdoors and he was an avid hunter, fisherman and archer. Ted was also a skilled gardener and bee-keeper.
Also surviving are his sons, Daniel and Matthew; his brother, Tim; his sister, Florence Spevak; cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 35 S. Frankin St., Wilkes-Barre. In lieu of floral tributes, donations can be made to Bear Creek Camp, an organization that shared Ted's admiration for teaching outdoor appreciation to chil dren.
