Edward J. Peck Sr. of Scranton died Friday in Moses Taylor Hospital. His wife is the former Elaine Ann Elko. The couple would have celebrated 40 years of marriage May 12.

Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late Walter and Beatrice Wasilewski Peck. He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, educated in Scranton public schools and a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. Edward had just retired in July from Maid-Rite.
He enjoyed spending quality time restoring cars. Edward was a loving and devoted husband and father, but his greatest joy was being with his grandchildren, who could do no wrong.
Also surviving are one son, Edward J. Peck Jr. and wife, Marcy, of the Minooka section of Scranton; two grandchildren, Elly "Ella" Peck and Eddie "Edjew" Peck; one brother, Walter Peck and wife, Barbara, Greenwood; nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Eagen-Hughes Funeral Home, 2908 Birney Ave., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in Divine Mercy Parish at Church of St. Joseph, 312 Davis St., Scranton, to be celebrated by the Rev. Francis Pauselli, pastor. Interment, St. Mary Czestochowa Cemetery, Greenwood.
Friends may call Tuesday, 4 to 8 p.m.
