Eleanor Tuholsky, 84, of Plano, Texas, formerly of Peckville, died Sunday at the Medical Center of Plano. She was the widow of Walter Tuholsky, who died on June 3, 1997.
Born in Olyphant, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Mahalik, formerly of Peckville. She was a graduate of Blakely High School and enjoyed a career in the retail sales industry. She began as a sales associate and retired as a merchandising manager with Blach's of Birmingham, Ala. In 1985 she started a boutique business in Plano after working for five major department stores for more than 25 years. She worked in both the northeast and southeast, as she followed the career of her husband Walter, who worked for the Ingersoll-Rand Co.
She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved following sports, especially her Texas Rangers baseball team, politics and current events.
She is survived by a son, Ronald Tuholsky and wife, Elizabeth, Plano; grandson, Alexander Tuholsky, Plano; a sister, Jean Kunchik and husband, Matt, Peckville; a brother, Robert Mahalik, New Jersey; and cousins, Joseph and Wanda Wilkes of Peckville.
The funeral will be Friday from the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St., Peckville, with Divine Liturgy at 1 p.m. at St. Adalbert's Polish National Church, Dickson City. Interment, parish cemetery.
