Elizabeth "Betty" Brooks, 87, of Palmer Twp., Pa., passed away on February 7, 2013, in Manor Care, Palmer Twp., Pa.

Betty was employed with Prudential as a clerical worker and also was employed with Macy's and Wal-Mart as a sales representative. Betty was born on July 19, 1925, in Philadelphia, Pa. She was a daughter of the late George and Ruth Faust Brown. Betty was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem, Pa., where she was an officer in the church and sang in the Chancel Choir. She had also resided in this area at one time. Betty was an avid golfer, loved to ski, loved boating and camping and was a painter.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Brooks, who passed away in 2011. She was also predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Lee.
Betty is survived by her beloved children, Robert J. Brooks of Colorado; William E. Brooks and his wife, Deborah; and Christopher A. Brooks and his wife, Colleen of Phillipsburg, N.J. Her grandchildren, Tyler, Erik, Daniel and Matthew Brooks. a niece, Karen Sanders and her husband, Mike and their children, Kristen and Julie Sanders.
There will be a memorial service held at a later date and an announcement will be made closer to the date of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Betty to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105.
