Elizabeth "Betty" Cerra Maletich, Carbondale, died Monday at Wayne Woodland Manor after an illness. She was the wife of Basil Maletich. The couple was married for 59 years.

Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Jo Cerra, she was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale, and a 1941 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School. She was the last survivor of 13 children. She worked for many years in the garment factory.
Betty loved crocheting and bus trips to Atlantic City.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Donato, Madison Twp.; and a grandson, Anthony Edward Donato.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Charles, Basil, Thomas, John and Michael Cerra; and seven sisters, Janet Zaccone, Marie Pilcavage, Ann Battisti, Rose Sirianni, Theresa and Louise Craparo, and Ceilia Levite.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home, 2 Hospital St., Carbondale, with Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
