Elizabeth Hunyak, a resident of Lackawanna Health and Rehab Center, Blakely, died Sunday morning at the center following an illness. She was the widow of Harry Hunyak, who died in 2009.

Born in Olyphant, daughter of the late Conrad and Mary Spewak Dzwonczyk, she was a graduate of Olyphant High School and a member of All Saints Orthodox Church in Olyphant.
She was a loving wife, sister and friend who will be greatly missed.
She is survived by a sister, Vera and husband, Walter Kobasa, Lansdale; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Puza, Lavona Smoley and Helen Dzwonczyk; and a brother, Joseph Dzwonczyk.
A funeral service will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the John J. Turko & Sons Funeral Home, 404 Susquehanna Ave., Olyphant, by the Rev. Benjamin Huggins. Interment, All Saints Orthodox Cemetery, Peckville.
Friends may call Saturday from 10:30 until time of service.
