Elizabeth "Betty" Killian, 98, of Dickson City, entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Killian, on Jan. 11, 1955.

Born in Dickson City, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Maryanna Zielinski Karmolinski, and she was a member of St. Mary's Visitation Church, Dickson City. She was educated in Dickson City schools and before retirement she was employed as a seamstress by Borgnecht's Dress and Lucille Fashions, both of Dickson City.
She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be remembered for her selflessness and love of her family. With any task she strove for quality and perfection and achieved her goals with humility and class. Her life was shaped by her strong faith and values, and she will be deeply missed by all her family.
Surviving is a daughter, Maryann Kohut and husband, Frank, Ansonia, Conn.; a son, James Killian and wife, Ann, Dickson City; grandchildren, Caroline Furtak and husband, Jerry, Princeton, N.J.; Greg Kohut and wife, Gerianne, Ansonia, Conn.; Erin Killian, Throop; Alison Knapp and husband, David, Wayne, N.J.; and Kaitlin Killian, Harrisburg; great-grandchildren, Sara and Drew Furtak; Luke and Joseph Kohut; and Connor Knapp; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by sisters, Rose Lewandowski and Victoria Karmolinski; and brothers, Stanley, Henry and John Karmolinski; and Joseph Karmol.
The funeral will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home Inc., 601 Dundaff St. Dickson City, Pa., with Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 in St. Mary's Visitation Church, Dickson City. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Dickson City.
