Educated in Scranton Schools, Betty was a homemaker for her entire married life, tending to the needs of her loving family. She enjoyed her time with her many good friends doing crosswords, reading and crocheting. Her most joyful time was spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty was also blessed by a "special angel" in her life, her best friend Jean Martino. Betty's days began and ended with Jean.

She is survived by her loving children, Sharon Motsay and husband, Jerry; Robert Kudrich, Francis Kudrich Jr. and wife, Connie; and Patricia Wharton and husband, Robert, all of Scranton; eight adoring and precious grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, James Sariti, Clarks Summit; one sister, Mary Comerford, Elgin, Texas; nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Jordan Kudrich; two sisters, Janet DePietro and Ruth Sariti; and one brother, Walter Sariti.

The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Michael Turock, Dr. Eric Smith, Dr. Greg Cali and the Inpatient Hospice of Regional Hospital for their care and compassion.

Viewing for family and friends will be on Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m., in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home, 254-268 Railroad Ave., West Scranton. A Blessing Service officiated by Father James Paisley will be at 7:30 p.m. As per Betty's wishes, cremation will follow at the Sunlight Crematory, Hanover Twp. Her cremains will be interred with her husband, Fran, in the Dunmore Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
