Emma Kellerman Mancia, 97, of Moosic, died Sunday in Mountain View Care Center. She was the widow of Carl Kellerman, who died July 3, 1956, and Rolando Mancia, who died Jan. 27, 1987.

Born in Moosic, daughter of the late Anthony and Amelia Zaleski Kozlowski, she was a parishioner of Queen of the Apostles Parish in Avoca and a former parishioner of SS. Peter & Paul Church, Avoca, before its closing. Emma was a graduate of Moosic High School and before retirement, was employed by Family Garment Co., Scranton. An excellent seamstress, Emma was very active in the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was a member of the Moosic Senior Citizens Club and Avoca VFW Post 8335 Ladies Auxiliary.

Emma enjoyed trips to the Atlantic City casinos and family get-togethers. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend and loved making bride dolls to donate exclusively to various charities. A fervent and faithful Catholic, she possessed a sweet and loving demeanor and was soft-spoken. Her family would like to thank Dr. Michael Kondash and the staff of Mountain View Care Center, especially the Alcore Wing, for the kindness and compassion shown unto Emma during her stay.

Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Mott and husband, Gerald, of Moosic; and Sylvia Smith of Scranton; two grandchildren, Jay Mott of Moosic; and Sandra Dellia and husband, William, of Olyphant; four great-grandchildren, Carmen and Jon Dellia; Kira and Kyle Mott; several nieces and nephews. She was affectionately called "Batchie" by all of her grandchildren. She had a special relationship with her nephew, Joseph Condon, who was a faithful visitor for many years and always brought a smile to her face.

She was also preceded in death by brothers, Henry, Anthony, Chester and Vincent Kozlowski; and sisters, Stella Condon Cotton and Josephine Baxter.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Victor M. Ferri Funeral Home, Robert J. Gillette, funeral director, 522 Fallon St., Old Forge, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in Queen of the Apostles Parish, 715 Hawthorne St., Avoca, to be celebrated by the Rev. Philip J.
