Dr. Frances A. Terrinoni of South Abington Twp. died Thursday morning in Regional Hospital of Scranton following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late William and Theresa Santomauro Terrinoni, she was a graduate of Scranton Preparatory School, the University of Scranton and Temple University School of Dentistry. In 1986, she began her family practice of dentistry in her West Scranton office at 203 10th Ave. She continued her practice until her illness in November 2010. She was a member of St. Benedict's Church, Newton-Ransom.
Fran's family would like to thank all of her doctors and health care workers, especially Dr. Lisa Thomas for her compassionate and loving care.
Surviving are two sisters, Terrie and Angela Kingsley and husband, Dennis; a brother, Anthony Terrinoni, all of South Abington Twp.; aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Monday with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Benedict's Church, Newton-Ransom Blvd., Clarks Summit. Friends may call Monday, 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., in the church. Interment will be private.
