Frank P. Conte, Scranton, died Monday at Mountain View Care Center, Scranton. His wife of 53 years is the former Dolores Jacobs.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Peter and Anne Cronkey Conte, he was a graduate of St. Mary of the Assumption High School and served in the Army. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Polish National Catholic Church. He operated Conte's Cafe for 34 years before retirement. He was a member of St. Mary's Parish Club for many years.

Also surviving are two sisters, Regina "Jeje" Besack, Florida; and Cetta Reilly, Moosic; nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the Sznyter Funeral Home, 1101 Prospect Ave., Scranton, with Mass at 10 in St. Stanislaus Polish National Catholic Church, to be celebrated by the Rev. Jason H. Soltysiak. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery, Kane Street, Scranton.

Friends may call Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m., and Friday, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
