Genevieve Comita Fredmonski, 88, of Piscataway, N.J., formerly of Old Forge, died Monday at home. Her loving husband, John Fredmonski, died Dec. 18, 2006.

Born July 15, 1924, in Old Forge, daughter of the late Pasqual and Louisa Gigliotti Comita, she was a graduate of Old Forge High School and was employed with United National Bank, Piscataway, N.J., for 30 years as a bookkeeper. Genevieve was very active with the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a former N.J. state president. She enjoyed cooking and baking for those she loved. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, Piscataway.
Surviving are two sons, John, Piscataway, N.J.; and Eric, Stroudsburg; her sister, Jean Crecco, Old Forge; and several nieces.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Dominic.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, by the Rev. Gary Mensinger, St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, Old Forge. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Byzantine Cemetery, Old Forge.
