George H. Fleth, 89, formerly of Dunmore, a resident of Fleetwood, died Tuesday at home. He was the husband of the former Florence H. Kalmar. They would have been married 54 years in October.

Born in Dunmore, he was the son of the late Oscar and Anna Rohrbaugh Fleth. George graduated from the Dunmore High School and served in the Army during World War II. He served in the European theater of operations with an ordnance maintenance company maintaining, servicing and making repairs on small arms. George was a life member of the American Legion and was a former member of the Madisonville Christian Church. He was a self-employed contractor specializing in commercial and residential painting and paper hanging.
George is also survived by his three daughters, Mary Anne Harris and husband, Steven, of Fleetwood; Elizabeth Graf of Oley; and Anna Catherine Haines and husband, David, of Madison Twp.; 17 grandchildren, Rebekah, Benjamin, Hannah, Sarah, Daniel, Mary Grace, Lydia, Samuel, Priscilla, Miriam, Jeremiah, Susanna, Abigail, David George, Rachel, Adam and Noah; and one great-grandchild, Gwendolyn Anna.
He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robert Graf.
The funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Madisonville Christian Church, 2565 Madisonville Road, Madison Twp., with the Rev. Bill Graham, officiating. Interment will follow in Abington Hills Cemetery in South Abington Twp.
A viewing will be from 10 until the time of the service at the church.
