Helen Ketcha, 90, of Olyphant, died Monday night after an illness. Her husband, Joseph Ketcha, died Oct. 26.

Born in Jessup on Dec. 22, 1922, daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Sewack Pegula, she was a graduate of Jessup High School and worked for several years in the local garment industry. She was a member of Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, Jessup, and had lived in Olyphant for the past 25 years.
Helen loved listening to all kinds of music, and in her younger years, she enjoyed dancing the jitterbug and polkas. She was a great baker and cook, especially with ethnic foods. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing card games and bingo, and she also enjoyed the company of her African gray parrot.
Surviving are her daughter, Lisa Ketcha-Tracewski, Olyphant; two sisters-in-law, Lovey Ketcha, Olyphant; and Anna Pegula, Jessup; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Stephen and Michael Pegula; three sisters, Pauline Pegula, Mary Yurick and Margaret Bailleau; and her son-in-law, Robert A. Tracewski.
A special thanks to all her caregivers and volunteers for all their love and kindness.
The funeral will be Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup, with Divine Liturgy at 9:30 in Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, First Avenue, Jessup. Interment, parish cemetery, Jessup.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, 4 to 7 p.m., with Parastas at 6.
