Helen Sklanka, 92, of Scranton, formerly of Factoryville, died Sunday at Allied Skilled Nursing Center, Clarks Summit. She was the wife of the late John T. Sklanka.

Born in Scranton, Helen was a loving mother who was very active in all aspects of running her family farm with her husband, including baling hay, planting and harvesting fields and tending to their dairy and beef cows. She was a member of Our Lady of the Abingtons Church in Dalton.
Helen is survived by her sons, Thomas Sklanka, Owings Mills, Md.; and Jude Sklanka and wife, Sharon, Linthicum, Md.; grandchildren, Stacey and Jason Sklanka, and Lottie and Heidi Olson; and great-grandchildren, Laney and Porter Thomas.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Catherine Olson; and brothers and sisters.
