Holden Scott Wayman, age 2, Vandling, died Monday night after a tragic accident near his home.

Born Aug. 13, 2011, in San Antonio, Texas, he was the son of Dominic and Amy Harber Wayman. Holden was an active and inquisitive boy who had a fascination with anything electronic. He loved broccoli, apples, cake, ice cream, gummies, Elmo, choo choos, his kitty, his dog and playing with his sister and cousins.

He especially enjoyed the comfort of hugs from his Mommy and Daddy and cuddling with his blankie.

Holden is also survived by a sister, Lejla; maternal grandparents, Denise and Ken Titsworth, North Carolina; William Harber and companion, Linda Corbett, Texas; paternal grandparents, Harold Wayman, Alabama; and Colleen Cranage, Tennessee; Victoria and Roger Seamans Jr., Nicholson; paternal great-grandparents, Brian and Mary Jane Taylor, Kingsley; maternal great-grandparents, Marlene Brown, North Carolina; and Marianne Leach, Kansas; paternal great-great-grandmother, Carolyn "Danue" Taylor, Kingsley; paternal uncles, Douglas Mead and wife, Jennifer, Washington; Robert Wallace II and wife, Michelle; paternal aunts, Nichole Hildebrand and husband, Tim; and Jacque Wayman, all of Nicholson; maternal uncle, Jason Harber, Texas; cousins, Robert, Seth, Taylor, Gianna, Nathan, Jacob, Abby and Laura.

Holden was preceded in death by an uncle, Justin Harber.

The funeral will be Saturday from the Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home, 74 N. Main St., Carbondale, with services in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. by Pastor Phillip Richardson. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery, Kingsley.
