Ida C. Gregorowicz, 83, of Dickson City, died Thursday morning in Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, following an illness. She was the widow of Joseph Gregorowicz, who died in 1979.

Born in Eynon, daughter of the late Walter and Rose Stanisheski Snyder, she was educated in Archbald High School and was a member of St. Mary's Visitation Church in Dickson City. She worked as a seamstress in the local garment industry and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. As a homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, trips to the casino, and sitting outside with her family and friends, especially her daughter and "best friend" Joanie.
She is survived by a daughter, Joan Gregorowicz of Green Ridge; a son, Joseph and Michaline Gregorowicz of Jermyn; a grandson, Daniel Gregorowicz of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Betty Kosar of Eynon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, David; a grandson, Jeffrey Gregorowicz; three brothers, Joseph, John and Anthony Shelesky; and two sisters, Natalie "Tillie" Shelesky and Janice Armitski.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from the John J. Turko & Sons Funeral Home, 402 Boulevard Ave., Dickson City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Visitation Church, Dundaff St., Dickson City, to be celebrated by Monsignor Patrick J. Pratico, pastor. Interment, Parish Cemetery, Dickson City.
