Irene P. Siscoe, 80, of Carbondale, died Sunday at Geisinger-Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.

Born in Simpson, daughter of the late Metro and Irene Kulick Pasterchik, she was a graduate of Carbondale public schools and had been employed as an electrical inspector for Lockheed Martin Co., Archbald.
She was an active member of SS. Peter and Paul Greek Catholic Church, Simpson, and the St. Ann's Altar and Rosary Society.
Irene was a giving person always willing to assist anyone in need. She was a good friend to many and devoted to her family, who will miss her greatly. She was especially helpful with her many godchildren, nieces and nephews, who are all better people for having her as a special and wonderful aunt. Her family was truly blessed by her presence.
The family would like to thank the staff of Geisinger-Wyoming Valley and the Forest City Nursing Home for their care of Irene.
Surviving are a sister, Tessie Dewitt; brothers Stephen "Tippy" and Richard; many godchildren; nieces and nephews; and special friends, Ellen and Ron Malinchak.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Michael; and two sisters, Sophie Prusienski and Rose.
The funeral will be private in SS. Peter and Paul Greek Catholic Church. Interment, parish cemetery. Arrangements by Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home Inc., 621 Main St., Simpson.
