Jacqueline M. Naida, 51, of Scranton, died Wednesday at Timber Ridge Health Care Center, Wilkes-Barre, after a courageous and valiant battle with Huntington's disease.

Born in Taylor, daughter of Carol Sepkowski Kalinowski, Scranton, and the late Robert Naida, and stepdaughter of Walter Kalinowski, Scranton, she was educated in Randolph, N.J., public schools, a graduate of Randolph High School and attended LaSalle University. Before her illness, she was a licensed stock broker with Prudential.

Jacqueline enjoyed dancing, the beach and spending time with her family and friends.

Even though she battled Huntington's disease, she never lost her zest for life. She was courageous, thoughtful and grateful for her family and friends, and will be missed my everyone who knew her.

Also surviving are a sister, Denise Naida Tierney and fiancé, Frank Ross, Mount Cobb; a brother, Robert Naida and wife, Leslie; her godmother, Sister Dorothy Sepkowski; paternal grandmother, Mary Naida; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death by a brother, David Naida.

The funeral will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann's St., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 in St. Ann's Basilica, Scranton. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
