James M. Blevins, 50, of Scott Twp., died unexpectedly Sunday, July 21, 2013, at home. His wife of 24 years is the former Lisa Pegula.

Born in Peckville, he was the son of Herbert and Ruby Pitzer Blevins of Scott Twp. He was a graduate of Lakeland High School, class of 1981, and graduated from Keystone College with a degree in computer processing. He worked for Harper Collins for 24 years and most recently for Lackawanna County in computer processing. A lifelong resident of Scott Twp., he was of the Protestant faith.

He was a great husband, son and father who dedicated his life to his family. He truly enjoyed attending his children's sporting and special events and was always available to help anyone in need at any time. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

He is also survived by a daughter, Ashley; and a son, James, both at home; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Robert and Sonja Pegula, Jessup; sister-in-law, Karen Clause and husband, Albert, Eynon; and a brother-in-law, Bob Pegula, Jessup.

The funeral will be Thursday with a blessing service at 10:30 a.m. in the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St., Jessup. Interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery, Jessup.
