James R. Andrews, 66, of Northampton, formerly of Carbondale, died Tuesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem. He and his wife, Susan Brady Andrews, celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary in November.

Born in Carbondale, son of the late George and Helen Alex Andrews, James was a member of the Church of Notre Dame of Bethlehem and retired as a business manager of the Laborers Local Union 158. James was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and was very proud of serving his country as a Marine during the Vietnam era. While serving, he received the Marine Corps Dress Blues Award, given to the most outstanding Marine in his platoon.

Also surviving are sons, Jamie Andrews, Bethlehem; Jason and wife, Jennifer Andrews, Blue Bell; and Matt and wife, Olivia, Harleysville; daughter, Jennifer Andrews, Northampton; and four grandchildren, Tatum, Chase, Tess and Lola.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Church of Notre Dame, 1861 Catasauqua Road, Bethlehem. Calling hours will be Saturday, 9 to 10:30, at the Brubaker Funeral Home Inc., 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua. In lieu of flowers, make memorial contributions payable to Toys for Tots or the Wounded Warriors Project, c/o the Brubaker Funeral Home Inc.
