Jennifer Patricia Kaminski, 28, of Factoryville, died Thursday morning in Geisinger Community Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of Patricia Salerno Skurka and Jeffrey Eiden. Along with her mother, she was raised by Christopher Kaminski of Scranton. She was also the stepdaughter of Robert Skurka, and the fiancée of Dustin L. Maslonka.

Jennifer was a 2002 graduate of West Scranton High School, received her LPN certification after graduating from the Career Technology Center in 2006, and became a registered nurse in 2011 upon completion of studies at Luzerne County Community College. She was employed as a nurse at the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center, Scranton and also as the registered nurse for T and D Power Inc. of Clarks Summit.

Jennifer was a vibrant person who thoroughly loved life, helping people and spending time with her family, friends and her cat, Zuess and dog, Caesar. Her most cherished time was spent on her boat on Lake Winola.

Also surviving are her grandparents, Ann and David J. McDonnell; Pat "Brownie" Salerno and Kay Nealon; Betty Eiden and Paul Eiden, all of Scranton; Robert and Valeria Skurka, Taylor; and Janine and Tony Kaminski, Scranton; sisters, Elizabeth, Selina, Debbi Kaminski and Jaida Eiden, all of Scranton; and brothers, RJ Talarico, Old Forge; and Christian Skurka, Scranton; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her aunt, Debbi Salerno Adams.

Jennifer, who recently got engaged on February 23, was planning her love story wedding that was to take place on September 28, 2013 to Dusty Maslonka of T and D Power Inc. Her happiness in finding the true love of her life was immeasurable.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Stefanelli Funeral Home Inc., 721 S. Main Street, Taylor, with a blessing service by Rev. Francis Landry, C.P., pastor of St. Ann Basilica Parish, officiating. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
