Jesse W. Wells, 87, of Dimock, died Monday at Meadow View Senior Living Center, Montrose, after an extended illness. His wife of 61 years is Laura J. Wood Wells.

Born in Auburn Twp. to the late Jesse W. and Pearl Walters Wells, Jesse was a lifelong resident of the Dimock area. He attended Elk Lake Community Church and was a member of the Dimock Baptist Church. He worked for 40 years at Louden Hill Dairy Farm, and retired after 11 years at Sire Power, Tunkhannock. Jesse enjoyed gardening, cutting firewood and mowing the lawn. He was always doing something for someone to help them out.

Also surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Robert Heed, Elk Lake; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jesse W. Jr. and Marda Wells and Jerry W. and Candy Wells, all of Dimock; five grandchildren and their spouses, Amanda and Jason Rozell, Robert and Amber Heed, Jeremy Wells, Jessica and Nathan Palmer, and Lacey and Joe DiGirolamo; four great-grandchildren, Abby, Cael, Bentley and Alexis; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Elk Lake Community Church, with Pastor Charles Bishop and Pastor Timothy Skopic officiating. Interment, Bunnell Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday, 9 to 11, at the church.
