John A. Yalinsky, 73, of Eynon, died Thursday, Oct. 25, at Moses Taylor Hospital. His companion of many years was Mary Soja, who preceded him in death.

Born in Peckville, he was the son of the late Victor and Ida Kochansky Yalinski. He was a graduate of Archbald High School, class of 1957, where he excelled in football. He was a member of St. Mary's of Czestochowa Church, Eynon. He was employed as a draftsman at Bell Labs in Berkeley, N.J., and the former Daystrom Inc., in Archbald.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed trips to the casinos.
He is survived by three cousins, Gregory Kowalski, Annandale, N.J.; Constance McDonough, Harrison, N.J.; and Dr. Mark Kowalski, Winchester, Mass.; and good friends, Gene Cholish, Archbald; Gerald Donorovitch, Eynon; and Charles Gianetti Jr., Clarks Summit.
The funeral will be Saturday with Mass at noon at St. Mary's Church, Eynon. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
