Joseph Gardner of Scranton died Sunday at home following an illness.

Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Clyde and Irene Gardner. He was employed by Keystone Vocational Training Center.
Joseph loved Spider-Man and Shrek. He cared about his housemates and enjoyed going on activities like bingo and bowling. His work environment was very important to him and spending time with his peers. He was a lifetime resident and member of Keystone Community Resources.
Keystone Community Resources would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of Home Health Care Professionals and Hospice for their kind and compassionate care, and also to Joseph's friends and staff at the Bryn Mawr group home.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Patrick F. Guido Funeral Home, 120 S. Main Ave., Scranton, by the Rev. Ginger Daubenhauser. Interment will be private.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
