Joseph T. Kilker of Narrowsburg, N.Y., died Tuesday at the Regional Hospital of Scranton. His wife is the former Dorothy Lavranchuk.

Born in Carbondale, son of the late Joseph T. and Lucille Walsh Kilker, he was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Narrowsburg. He was a graduate of St. Rose High School, Carbondale, and the University of Scranton, where he received his master's degree. Before retirement, he was the superintendent of the Narrowsburg Central School District, where he was a former principal. He was formerly in the Army National Guard. He was also a member of Columbia Hose Company 5, Carbondale.
Also surviving are two sons, Joseph, Virginia Beach, Va.; and Sean, Scranton; a daughter, Erin and husband, Zek Lor, Honesdale; three grandchildren, Elijah, Teofilo and Anissah; a sister, Ann Jordan, Yardley; a brother, Patrick, Windsor, N.Y.; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
