Lillian M. Heverly of Lake Ariel died suddenly Tuesday morning at the VNA Hospice Unit at Geisinger Community Medical Center after an illness. Her husband is D. Ross Heverly.

Born in Colwyn, Pa., daughter of the John and Elizabeth MacLachlin Kenyon, she was a member of the 1948 graduating class of Darby High School, where she was a three letter player. She was also a member of the 1951 graduating class of the Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at Hahnemann Hospital, then Kiowaindian Hospital in Ft. Sill, Okla., then worked at the former Tri County Hospital, now known as Springfield Hospital, where she was the Night Supervisor until her retirement. After her retirement she came to Lake Ariel, Pa. where she was a nurse to many.
Also surviving are daughters, Dawn Serano and her husband, Art of Bernillo, N.M.; and Karen Renee Levine and her husband, Matt of Sykesville, Md.; sons, Wade K. and his wife, Deborah of Rougemont, N.C.; and Brook K. and his wife, Sandy of Ridley Park, Pa.; a sister, Dorothy Gamble of Middletown, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Randy, Amy, Amanda, Christin, Hope, Kenyon, Kelton and Cade.
A celebration of Lillian's life will be held Saturday at 12 noon in the Lake Wallenpaupack Estates Clubhouse, 104 Clubhouse Dr., Greentown, PA 18426.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon at the Clubhouse. A reception will follow the service.
Cremation took place in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel. Arrangements by the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
