Lisa Shiffler Benasutti, 41, of Glenburn, Maine, formerly of the North Pocono area, died Jan. 31 at home.

Born in Fort Huachuca, Ariz., while her father was stationed there with the Army, Lisa was the daughter of Melvin and Hannah Featherman Shiffler of Scranton. She was a 1990 graduate of North Pocono High School and Lackawanna County Vocational-Technical School in the area of cosmetology. She worked in the loan division of First Liberty Bank, Scranton, for many years. She was of the Catholic faith.

Also surviving are three sons, Gregory J., Joshua and Mathew Benasutti, Glenburn; her sons' father and love of her life, Gregory A. Benasutti, Glenburn; a sister, Terri Evans, Mayfield; a brother, Silas Schiffler, Moscow; nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Paula Shiffler Arneil on Aug. 21, 2012.

A memorial service will be Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in the John J. Michael's Memorial VFW Post 5207, Routes 502 and 307, Daleville, by the Rev. Patricia Lee. A gathering in the post hall will follow the services.

Local arrangements entrusted to the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 3 First St., Spring Brook Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
