Luis A. Murria, 63, of Scranton, died Tuesday evening at Lackawanna Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olyphant, where he had resided the past four years. He is survived by his beloved wife, Monica Medina Murria. Wed on March 9, 1974, the couple was married for 38 years.

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, on Nov. 8, 1948, son of the late Maximo and Julia Feliciano Murria, he worked as a housekeeper for Allied Services of Scranton for seven years before his illness. His favorite hobby was collecting model cars and his favorite pastime was dancing the salsa. An avid fan of boxing, his favorite boxer was Felix "Tito" Trinidad Jr. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, he will forever be missed by all of those who've loved him.
He is survived by his six children: four sons, Eliezer Luis Jr., Julio and Ruben Murria, all of Scranton; and two daughters, Jeannie Murria and husband, Oscar Milian, Tampa, Fla.; and Marisol Murria, Scranton; nine grandchildren; many siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the Parish of St. John Neumann, 633 Orchard St., Scranton, by the Rev. John Ruth. Interment, Sacred Heart Cemetery.
