Malinda M. Lavoy, 95, of Greentown, died Dec. 28 in the Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center, Lake Ariel. She was the widow of Vernon Lavoy, who died in 1964.

Born in Hokah, Minn., she had resided in Greentown since 1990, and before that in Bethany, Wayne County. She retired in 1982 as a retail salesperson at Sugarman's Store in Eynon.
Malinda is survived by three sons, Lester Lavoy, Greentown; Jerry Danielson, Hawaii; and Robert Danielson, Missouri; three daughters, Shirley Davey, Equinunk; Betty Robbins and Darlene Harris both of Missouri; 22 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held July 13 at 11 a.m. in the Arthur J. Frey Funeral Home, 201 LaAnna Road, LaAnna; the Rev. Gregg Schafer, Newfoundland Moravian Church, will officiate. Interment of cremains will follow in Moravian Cemetery, Newfoundland.
