Margaret L. Keough of Carbondale died Tuesday at Carbondale Nursing Center after an illness. She was the widow of John Keough, who died in February 1996.

Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Harry G. and Margaret E. Daniels Ransom, she was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. Before her retirement, she was employed by the Carbondale Nursing Home. She was also a member of Club 77 at the North High Rise, Carbondale, where she enjoyed playing bingo and cards. She was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Yankees.

Surviving are a son, Jack Keough and wife, Diane, Carbondale; a daughter and caregiver, Laurie McDonald and husband, Tom, Carbondale; three granddaughters, Erin Keough; Katy McDonald and fiancé Jerry Potis; and Kelly Baldini and husband, Dominick; a great-granddaughter, Givliana Baldini; a sister, Gladys White, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Carbondale Nursing Center, the Hospice of the Scared Heart and Dr. Bekele and his staff for the excellent care given to Margaret.

The funeral will be Saturday from the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
