Margaret Myerchik, 90, a lifelong resident of Old Forge, died Wednesday morning at Linwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scranton. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Walter Myerchik, on Aug. 16, 1988.

Born on May 8, 1922, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Lefchak, she was a 1940 graduate of Old Forge High School and was employed by Fashion Bug at the Viewmont Mall in Dickson City before her retirement. She was a member of St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church in Old Forge. A loving woman whose greatest joy was her grandchildren, she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by two children, a son, Walter Myerchik and wife, Lenore, Old Forge; and a daughter, Mary Skor and husband, Anthony (Dave), Harrisburg, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Walter Myerchik, Philadelphia; and Mary Catherine Myerchik Boland and husband, Bob, Pittsburgh.
She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Angelica and Thomas Myerchik.
Her family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to both Dr. Kenneth Sebastianelli and the staff of Linwood Nursing Center for the excellent care they had given to Margaret.
Private funeral services will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, by the Rev. Job J. Foote, with interment to follow.
