Marianne D. Shields, 67, of Scranton died Wednesday morning at home. Her husband is Jack F. Shields.

Born in Old Forge, daughter of Helen Scoda Daniels, Moosic, and the late Nicholas Daniels, she was a graduate of Old Forge High School and the Scranton Data Entry School. Before retirement, she was employed by Community Medical Center in its business office. She was a member of Mary Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church and the Lackawanna Kennel Club.
She was a loving wife and mother who was an avid reader and a huge Denver Broncos and NASCAR fan. She loved her two poodles, Cody and Bailey.
Surviving are a son, John M. Shields, Woodlyn, Pa.; two brothers, August Kramer, Duryea; and Francis Kramer, Ardmore; several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Paul Remick and staff, the staff of Hospice and especially her caretaker for the past 15 months, Kathy Barber.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Edward Knight O'Donnell Funeral Home, 323 William St., with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Mary Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church. Cremation will take place at Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald. Interment of cremains will be in Cathedral Cemetery at a later date.
Friends may call Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Friends attending the funeral are asked to go directly to the church.
