Marion M. Castellani, 83, of Dickson City, died Thursday at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Joseph P. Castellani.

Born in Dickson City, daughter of the late John and Agnes Szarek Magdon, she was a member of St. Mary's Visitation Church, Dickson City. She was past president of St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society and she participated in programs at the Dickson City Civic Center. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Parochial School, Dickson City, and she was a 1947 graduate of Dickson City High School. She began her working career at various dress companies in the area, later worked for General Electric in South Scranton, and she retired from Automation Components, Peckville.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was a wonderful cook who enjoyed preparing Sunday dinners for her family. Marion loved to dance and she adored her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
Also surviving are a son, Joseph M. Castellani and wife, Gayle, Dickson City; a grandson, Christopher; granddaughters, Cassie and Cheri; a great-granddaughter, Kadynce; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by six sisters, Helen Zawistowski, Elizabeth Kotowicz, Wanda Maksinski, Genevieve Froio, Irene Ziebro and Amelia King; and a brother, Joseph Magdon.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with Mass at 9:30 in St. Mary's Visitation Church, Dickson City. Entombment, St. Mary's Mausoleum, Dickson City.
