Mary S. Paul, 83, formerly of Kingston, died Thursday at Allied Services Facility in Scranton.

Born in Kingston, daughter of the late Claude and Sarah Thomas Stevens, she graduated from Kingston High School. Mary had lived with her daughter. Previously, she had lived at the Daniel J. Flood Towers Building in Kingston. Earlier she had resided in Scranton for 13 years and Cambridge, Md. Before retirement, she was employed by Pennsylvania State Highway Department. She was a member of Forty Fort United Methodist Church and previously a member of Cambridge United Methodist Church in Maryland.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Bossi and husband, Robert, Nicholson; and Marion Plasco, Lebanon; a sister, Gwendolyn Martinson, Kingston; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph Stevens; life partner of 31 years, Clem Kochinski; a brother, Claude Stevens; and two sisters, Elizabeth Jones and Bernadine Mowery.
A private graveside service will be conducted at Laceyville Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Philip Wanek officiating.
