Mary T. Julian, a long-time resident of Archbald, died Christmas morning at Lackawanna County Health Care Center, where she had been a guest. She was the widow of Amos A. Julian Sr., who died Sept. 12, 1978.

Born in Throop, daughter of the late Benjamin and Lottie Stephowsky Malinowski, she attended Dickson City schools, and was a member of Christ the King Parish in Archbald.

Mary enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles in her spare time.

Surviving are sons, Amos Julian Jr., and wife, Bernadette; Robert Julian, and wife, Barbara; and a daughter, Rose Marie McAndrew, all of Archbald; grandchildren, Mark McAndrew, and wife, Gerri; Maria McGee and husband, Daniel; Michael McAndrew and wife, Jessica; Janice Julian Lyons, her caregiver, and husband, Jimmy; Lori Julian, Jennifer Julian Monahan and husband, Tim; Lisa Julian DeAngelis and husband, Lee; Teri Julian and fiancé, Joe Altier III; Amos Julian III, Bernice Julian, Chris Julian and partner, Jennifer; Thomas Julian and Joseph Julian; nine great-granddaughters; and one great-grandson.

Also preceding her in death was a brother, Joseph; sisters, Stella, Josephine, Celia and Lottie; a granddaughter, Mary Faith McGee; and a son-in-law, Patrick McAndrew.

The family would like to express its gratitude with a special thank you to the staff, nurses and doctors at Lackawanna County Health Care Center for the care and compassion shown to Mary during her stay.

The funeral will be Saturday from the Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church St., Archbald, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 429 Church St., Archbald. Interment will be at the parish cemetery.

Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m.
