Mary Yevich Miller, 86, formerly of Clarks Summit, died Wednesday evening at Abington Manor. Her beloved husband, Alfred, died March 24, 2004.

Born and educated in Taylor, daughter of the late John and Margaret Markovich Yevich, Mary worked as a machine operator in the garment industry until her retirement. She was a faithful and lifelong parishioner of St. George's Orthodox Church, Taylor, and was a member of the Altar Society.
Throughout her life, Mary enjoyed crocheting and quilting, and was a woman of great faith. Her family, especially her grandchildren, were the center of her life.
Surviving are two daughters, Tamara Miller and Dayle Elkins and husband, Tim, all of Scranton; a son, Richard and wife, Cynthia, San Diego, Calif.; eight grandchildren, a great-grandchild; three sisters, Margaret Novack and husband, John, Plains Twp.; Irene Tomasewski, Swoyersville; and Emily Wanish and husband, Dan, Vernon, Conn.; two brothers, Michael Yevich and wife, Joyce, Honesdale; and William Yevich and wife, Charlotte, Harding; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Ann Yevich.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, followed by Divine Liturgy at 9:30 in St. George's Orthodox Church, Taylor. Interment, parish cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.
