Michael Bartoli, 74, of Blakely, died Saturday in the Hospice Unit of Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. His wife of 54 years is the former Carol Chappell.

Born in Pittston, son of the late Samuel and Victoria Guerrie Bartoli, when employed, he was a foreman for the Trane Co.
Michael enjoyed family "get-togethers," especially being with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. His favorite teams were the Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State football. He loved hunting, when he was able to do it. Michael was a man who was well liked by all who knew him.
Also surviving are a son, Anthony Bartoli and wife, Tina, Jessup; a daughter, Vickie Sweet and husband, Edward, Carbondale; seven grandchildren, Megan, Sarah, Hanna, Nichole, Daren, Jeremy and Dylan; a great-granddaughter, Kerea.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Leonard, Rego and Samuel Bartoli; a sister, Theresa Foux; and a son, Michael Bartoli.
Private services with be held at the convenience of the family. No calling hours.
