Ngoc Marie Hortin of Green Ridge, and formerly of France, died Wednesday evening at home. Her husband, Paul Hortin, died Dec. 23, 1993.

Born in Saigon, Vietnam, daughter of the late Nguyen and Le Thi Quyen Van Huyen, she and her husband spent many years visiting here and would return to France. In 1992 she made her residence in Scranton, living with her daughter, Joelle, in Green Ridge.
Surviving are daughters, Paulette Cavezza and husband, Anthony, Scranton; Paulette Nguyen, Vietnam; Lucie Mouton and husband, Jean Claude, France; Simone Jagues and husband, Yvon, France; Jeannine Vinel and husband, Daniel, France; and Joelle Hortin, Scranton, with whom she resided; three sons, George Locart, France; Germain Hortin, France; and Francisque Hortin, New Caledonia; two grandchildren, Patrick Cavezza and Christina Cavezza, of Scranton; two great-grandchildren, Dehjza and Uzzyah Cherry, both of Scranton; 100s of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren residing in Paris, France; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral will be Monday from Carl J. Savino Funeral Home, 157 S. Main Ave., West Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Lucy's Church, 949 Scranton St., West Scranton. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
