Paula Mielo Kraemer of West Scranton died Wednesday at the VNA Hospice Inpatient Unit at Geisinger Community Medical Center. Her husband, David Kraemer, preceded her in death.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of Paul and Jean Trovato Mielo of Scranton; a graduate of West Scranton High School, class of 1972, she was employed in the bakery department of the Dickson City Wal-Mart. Before her return to Scranton she resided in North Carolina for more than 20 years and worked for the Craven County School District as a teacher.
Paula enjoyed sewing and arts and crafts. She was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, and her family was the most important thing to her.
Also surviving are a daughter, Samantha Kraemer, Scranton; a son, William Rought Jr., Texas; a granddaughter, Ashlynn Hook, Scranton; a nephew, Daven Swiderski, Scranton; other nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:30 a.m. in Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 316 William St., Scranton. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
