Peter J. Judge, 69, of Avoca, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. Peter is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lucille Hunter Judge.

Born Jan. 12, 1944, in Pittston, son of the late William and Rosemary Scherer Judge, Peter was a member of Queen of the Apostles Parish, Avoca. He was a 1961 graduate of Pittston Area High School and upon graduating he worked for Party Favors, Pittston. Peter retired from Thomson Electronics after 35 years of service.
He was a very active member of the American Pool Association, an avid fisherman and enjoyed golf. He was also a die-hard fan of the Rolling Stones, Penn State football, the Philadelphia Phillies and the Miami Dolphins. Peter was a very kind and giving person. He will forever be missed by his family and friends.
Peter is also survived by his sisters, Mary Ellen Paranich and husband, Joseph, Judy Black and husband, Paul, all of Lake Spangenberg; and Ann Marie Guido her husband, Frank, Kingston; nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Maureen.
Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 13, from Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., Duryea, with Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of the Apostles Church, Avoca, with the Rev. Phillip Sladicka, officiating. Interment was held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Avoca.
