Rita Marshalek Strok, Old Forge, died Tuesday evening at Commonwealth Hospice of NEPA. Her husband, Alex Strok, preceded her in death.

"Our Rita" was born in Taylor, daughter of the late George and Mary Faycavicz Marshalek. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Polish National Catholic Cathedral.
Rita was an avid lover of people and animals, forever doing what she could for anyone who needed help and always putting herself second. For anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her, you were truly blessed. We will miss her forever. For
the past 50 years, Rita and her sisters would get together every Sunday and reminisce, laugh and cry.
Surviving are two sisters, Eleanor Schulteis and husband, Eugene, Clarks Summit; and Jean Reichter, Exeter; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers. George Jr. and Danie1 Marshalek; and five sisters, Ethel Zukowski, Helen Maciak, Stella Hricenak, Mary Rognoni and Josephine Scaringi.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ralph DeMario and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their heartfelt and ever competent support.
A Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Polish National Catholic Cathedral. Interment, parish cemetery. Arrangements by the Leon S. Gorgol Funeral Home.
