Robert J. Brower Jr., 59, of Scranton, died Saturday.

Born in Scranton and raised in Dunmore, he was the son of Mary Evelyn Barrett Brower, Dunmore, and the late Robert J. Brower. He was a graduate of Dunmore High School and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Dunmore. Before retirement, he was a loyal and dedicated emergency dispatcher for the city of Scranton and Lackawanna County Emergency Services. He was also a member of International Association of Fire Fighters Local 60.

He was an avid collector of antique automobiles.

Surviving are a brother, Paul J. Brower and wife, Donna, Old Forge; nieces, nephews and uncles.

The funeral will be Wednesday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church, Chestnut Street, Dunmore. Interment in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Dunmore.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, 322 Chestnut St., Dunmore, PA 18512.
