Robert P. Keohan, 71, of Simpson and New York City, died Thursday morning at Forest City Nursing Home.

Born in New York City on May 15, 1942, son of the late Joseph and Kathryn (McDonald) Keohan, Robert was a forklift operator for many years before his retirement.

He was a hard worker and enjoyed history, scratch-offs, soccer and drinking. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends in New York.

He is survived by family members, Cathy, Joe, Shane, Rudy, Sharon, Nicholas, Timothy, Angela, Ron, Ronnie and many other family members and friends in New York.

As per his request, cremation took place, and a viewing for family and friends will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon at the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 89 Farview St., Carbondale.
