Rose Villella, 84, a resident at Green Ridge Health Care Center, formerly of Peckville, died Sunday at Green Ridge Health Care Center. She was the widow of Louis A. Villella, who died in 1980. The couple was married for 33 years.

Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late John and Kathryn Stawiarska Wojtkunski. She was a graduate of Archbald High School and was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of Peckville VFW Post 6082. She was employed in the local garment industry until her retirement.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and neighbor. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to the nurses and staff at the Green Ridge Health Care Center for their care during her illness, especially Rachael, Johnessa, Jerry and Harriet for their compassion, loving care and friendship.

She is survived by her daughter, Eileen Brenne, her caregiver, and husband, Robert; and grandchildren, Stephanie and husband, Tom Chmielewski; and Robert L. Brenne; daughters, Rose Marie Borgna and husband, Ronald, Binghamton, N.Y.; and Susan Bogutski and husband, Joseph, Florida; grandchildren, Rory Borgna, Joseph and Holly Hughes; two sisters, Kathryn Contrino, Bethlehem; and Ann Wozniak, Eynon; several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Josephine Wojtkunski and Mary Mallinski; and three brothers, Stanley, Adam and Frankie Wojtkunski.

The funeral will be Thursday from the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St., Peckville, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Interment Union Cemetery, Peckville.

Friends may call Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m.
