Ruth Ann Scanlon Casey, 93, died Tuesday at Chandler Hall in Newtown. She was the loving wife of the late Paul R. Casey Sr., M.D., who died on Feb. 12, 2004.

Born in Carbondale, on Dec. 25, 1919, Mrs. Casey was the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Bridget "Belinda" McHugh Scanlon. She was one of eight children and resided in Jenkintown for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Casey is survived by five sons, Joseph T. Casey (Veronica) of Glenside; Paul R. Casey Jr., M.D., (Kathleen) of Gwynedd Valley; Kevin P. Casey, M.D., of Scranton; Gary M. Casey (Lynn) of Hamlin; and Brian Casey (Shirley) of Hudson, N.H.; three daughters, Patricia A. Walker (James) of Coopersburg; Karen P. Beilman (Michael) of Hawley; and Ruthann Cloman (Kyle) of Yardley; 24 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to celebrate Mrs. Casey's life with a funeral Mass on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 8320 Brookside Road, Elkins Park, with the Rev. Raymond Himsworth, officiating. Interment, St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, Warrington Twp.
A viewing will precede Mass from 9:30 to 11 at the church.
