Salvatore A. Graziano, 66, of Carbondale, passed away suddenly Thursday morning, Feb. 28, 2013. His wife of 42 years is Nancy Vadala Graziano.

He was born in Carbondale to the late Charles and Theresa Mancuso Graziano and was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School. He worked as a computer technician for IBM for 30 years and SCS for 10 years. He was also a bartender at many local establishments, most notably, Oliveri's Crystal Lake Hotel for 20 years. He was currently employed as banquet manager by Fiorelli's Banquet Hall and Catering. Sal was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale.
He was an avid sports fan who rooted for the New York Yankees, New York Giants and Nascar races. The joys of his life were his two grandchildren, his daughter, and his "adopted" daughter, Alynn Leonard.
Also surviving is his daughter, Gina Graziano Mazza and husband, J.R. Mazza; grandchildren, Natalia and Gino Mazza; step-grandchildren, Jeffrey Evans and Taryn Mazza; a sister, Phyllis Graziano Kovaleski; brother-in-law, Philip Vadala and wife, Caroline; nephew, Patrick Vadala; and many cousins. He will be deeply missed by all.
He was also preceded in death by an older brother, Charles Graziano Jr.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home, 2 Hospital St., Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook St., Carbondale. Interment will be at a later date in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
