Theresa H. Scone, 83, of Scranton, died Sunday night at Green Ridge Health Care Center after an illness. She was the widow of Howard Scone, who died March 17, 1981.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Joseph and Maryanna Jacabowski Kutyla, she was a homemaker and a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church. She was also a member of VFW Post 25 Ladies Auxiliary, Scranton.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She loved shopping, traveling, trips to Atlantic City, family celebrations, watching the daily Mass and her daughter-in-law's cooking. She was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are five children, Beverly Russomano, Howard Scone and Robert Scone, all of Scranton; William Scone and wife, Patricia, Scott Twp.; and Mary Ann Scone, Pittston Twp.; 10 grandchildren, Joseph Scone, Mark Scone, Howard Scone, Christine Scone Sedelnick, Bon Russomano, Brian Russomano, Lori Gray, Michael Scone, Allison Scone and Jennifer Scone; 16 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Green Ridge Health Care Center and Dr. Paul Remick for their compassionate care.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Edward Knight O'Donnell Funeral Home, 323 William St., Scranton, with Mass at 11 a.m. in Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
