Thomas "Peppy" Pepsin, 81, of Fayetteviile, Ark., formerly of Taylor, died Wednesday at home. He is survived by his wife, Donna Pepsin.

Born in Taylor on Nov. 21, 1931, son of the late John and Margaret Donnelley Pepsin, he was a graduate of Taylor High School, where he played football and was the recipient of a football scholarship to the University of Miami, playing from 1951-1955. He faithfully served our country after college with the Army. Peppy was drafted by the Chicago Cardinals and he played football for the New Canadian League's Hamilton Tiger- Cats. He was a member of the University of Miami "M" Club, Iron Arrow, Phi Delta Thea fraternity, ROTC and the Knights of Columbus.
Also surviving are a daughter, Deonna "DeeDee" Tucker and husband, Robert; three grandchildren, Dante and Deanna Ticker; and Daniel Tucker and wife, Lillian, all of Fayetteville; a sister, Marie Mashurak; a brother, Frank Pepsin; and a niece, Michelle Gawel, all of Taylor.
The funeral will take place in Fayetteville and interment will be in Fayetteville National Cemetery.
