Wallace Leroy White Jr., 64, a South Scranton resident, died Monday evening at Regional Hospital of Scranton after being stricken ill at home. His wife of 43 years is the former Jeanne Wasnowic.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Wallace Leroy Sr. and Mary Ann Flynn White, he was a member of St. Michael's Church and was a graduate of South Scranton Central Catholic High School. He was a veteran of the Army and was a retired employee of New Penn, Dunmore. He was a member of South Side Bachelors Club and was steward for Teamsters Local 229.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed playing with his grandson.
Also surviving are a daughter, Lisa White Brudnicki and husband, Edward Brudnicki Jr., Scranton; a grandson, Jaxson James Brudnicki; cousins; and a niece and nephew.
The funeral will be Saturday at 9 a.m. from the August J. Haas Funeral Home Inc., 202 Pittston Ave., with a Requiem Mass at 9:30 in St. Michael's Church, 1703 Jackson St., Scranton. Interment, St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.
